MERRI CYR’S ROLLING STONE COVER

New York-based Merri Cyr has been photographing artists and rock musicians for almost 30 years. When she came to us needing a perfect scan for a 20 year-old color negative, she knew it was going to be a tough request given the crazy stage lighting of the time and the age of the negative. It was a challenge, but we were ultimately able to achieve a good balance between the strong yellow cast and the other color tones.

Congratulations to Merri Cyr for making the cover of Rolling Stone Australia!

NOTE:
If you’re making your own scans, calibrate and scan with no adjustments, and save as a 48bit RGB tiff. DO NOT use automated adjustments in the scanner software.
